Was there ever any independent verification of the spectacularly high Oro Grande pgm assay values provided by Michael P. Thomas (Jan 1988) of the M.H.S. Laboratory, operated as a subsidiary of Mullen High School, in Denver, Colorado?

The independent P. Fischer report for Inco (Jan 1991) gave Inco pgm assay results no better than 2 ppm Pt, much less for Pd, and traces of Rhodium for Oro Grande. It gave similar results for the single Weaver Creek sample analyzed by Inco. Was there independent confirmation of any higher pgm values from in situ, native, unconcentrated rocks?
