NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1999-- 24/7 Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: TFSM - news), one of the largest Internet media companies, today announced that its European subsidiary, 24/7 Europe (www.247europe.com), with wholly-owned operations in 12 European countries, has launched its Finnish operations 24/7 Suomi and has announced its core team. 24/7 Suomi will be Finland's only online ad sales network that is a fully integrated, wholly-owned part of an international network, able to offer complete global services to Finnish advertisers and Web sites. 24/7 Suomi will provide online advertising, sponsorship, eCommerce and direct marketing opportunities, combining the global reach of 24/7 Media Inc., 24/7 Europe and 24/7 Asia with locally tailored solutions.

Pertti Hakala, managing director at 24/7 Suomi, will lead the company's operations. Hakala comes to 24/7 Suomi from Finnish agency Datum OMD where he handled all interactive business. Prior to Datum OMD, he was area sales manager for pioneering online marketers Net Value. Other key appointments include Annette Saarinen to sales director and Satu Yrjanen to senior account manager. Both join from DoubleClick Finland. Finally, Merja Ernoos, previously at Umbrella Communications, will become marketing and communications manager. Further appointments will follow.
