Fund Manager Bullish On Semiconductor Sector

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1999--Michael Murphy, mutual fund manager and editor of California Technology Stock Letter, thinks there will be many positive earnings surprises in the technology sector in the next few quarters and especially likes the semiconductor and semiconductor equipment sectors.

A question as to Zacks / Value Line ratings. Assume a stock announces after the close a shortfall and goes down the usual 20% on the open. Had Zacks downgraded before the open, does the next trade reflect on the new recommendation or the old one. It would make all the difference with their rating scheme performance.
