Teflon, Good Morning.
The red hat IPO probably had some effect on limiting MSFT's move up on a psycholical level. Everyone knew red hat was out there but the added publicity of going public depressed MSFT somewhat in my opinion---especially yesterday.
This probably added fuel to the move by RHAT stock price.
I had been away for a week and missed out on some great trading opportunities.
My only stock holding at this point is MSFT (not much of it either).
Going cash.
MSFT should be the stock to buy long at some point in the next couple of months. It should have a hell of a ride early next year. To me it is only a matter of trying to pick up the best entry points.
I don't think the current price is the bottom but the 77 to 80 is good enough for me to add more--i agree with you. This has to do more with my negative market outlook going into late September. In any case, i am not going to risk not being in MSFT on a long term basis and will hold on to it in some quantities---just don't want to miss the boat.

Awesome. The Costco partnership, service focus on small and medium business, and small to zero monthly individual ISP account cost should propel MSN to the #1 ISP.

Also the DOJ can't raise much of an issue about free internet access. AOL was practically tossed out of the U.K. because "freenet" was giving away free internet access.

Hope nobody here is stuck with AOL!

Go Softie Go !
/James

Forgot to include this story on September trading according to the CNBC.com website. Finding it a great site for news and access to CNBC news stories when one is away from the TV---check it out. I love the site and i have just started reading from it just recently.

As the story mentions, September is the worst month historically. That tells me that August might be pretty lousy as we could get a race to the exits. Just my opinion.
