NEW YORK, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Merrill Lynch's new personal
computer analyst Steve Fortuna on Thursday said he initiated
coverage of Gateway Inc. GTW.N and Micron Electronics Inc.
MUEI.O with neutral ratings, citing unfavorable industry
conditions.
-- In a research note, Fortuna also assumed coverage from
Merill analyst Steve Milunovich of Dell Computer Corp.
DELL.O, maintaining its existing neutral rating.
