NEW YORK, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Merrill Lynch's new personal computer analyst Steve Fortuna on Thursday said he initiated coverage of Gateway Inc. GTW.N and Micron Electronics Inc. MUEI.O with neutral ratings, citing unfavorable industry conditions. -- In a research note, Fortuna also assumed coverage from Merill analyst Steve Milunovich of Dell Computer Corp. Mark Haines and Joe Kernan didn't miss the lt buy that ML has on DELL explaining that ML has a long term buy on every stock that they recommend. No such thing as a long term sell. In short, lt buy means zilch. El
