i have someone else giving me info from the conference. the new products i've been posting are from companies at the conference.
pixelfusion has something in the works for consumer pc's too.
i am really looking forward to the hotchips conference next week followed by the idf.

My son was able to stop by Pixelfusion yesterday. He called me late last night (woke me up!) and told me he was very impressed. Says he now believes Rambus is no longer "vaporware" <g>. We didn't get into any technical details and what he saw had no direct application on his type of work, but his impression was that next generation games (Rambus) will knock your socks off.

Pixelfusion is using a per fragment lighting algorithm, which allows for very realistic rendering. Rambus may provide value to the product, but is probably not the reason for the impressive imagery your son witnessed.
