FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

$5 MILLION PRIVATE PLACEMENT FOR DEGA

[San Luis Obispo, August 19, 1999] Dega Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: DEGA) has been informed by Trafalgar Resources of Denver, Colorado, that Trafalgar, in concert with certain Swiss financial institutions, has successfully underwritten a private placement of Dega shares for $5 Million. This funding will allow for the completion of DegaSource, which will initially provide a complete catalogue of parts and accessories for the $151 Billion automotive and automotive aftermarket parts and maintenance industries.

DegaSource is an Internet cataloguing and e-commerce application. It combines parts and maintenance information with merchandising features such as real-time pricing and inventory levels, up-sell kits, customizable views and notes, etc. DegaSource also integrates with back-office systems, facilitating real time business-to-business e-commerce throughout the supply chain.

Dega anticipates providing their DegaSource solution to other industries by early 2000. The DegaSource feature set is crucial to any one of the multi-billion dollar parts and maintenance intensive industries such as Aviation, HVAC, Marine, and Rail.

Dega is at the forefront of applying leading-edge technologies to useful business solutions. Dega is also the creator of CD-ROM based catalogues for Ford, General Motors and Honda.
