I was wondering the same thing.

You think there might be a buyout rumour?

LOL... I do like the move, though. YAWN.

Slammer: The reason for today's pop? An article via Comtex came across my news service this morning which discussed the success of Kevin Landis, Portfolio Manager of the Technology Value Fund (TVFQX).

Quote: "Landis has carved out a sterling reputation among Silicon Valley for his "first hand" approach to picking stocks. . . .

"The Technology Value Fund recently celebrated its five-year anniversary and was named the top performer among all mutual funds with an annualized total return of 50.62% for the five-year period ending June 30, 1999 . . . Among the top holdings in the Tech Value Fund . . . "

. . . Cabletron Systems was listed as one of the top.

The problem with rumors—they seldom come close to the truth. It's CS on the merits.

Cheers,

Scott
