Scientific-Atlanta Reports Record Fourth Quarter and Record Fiscal Year

ATLANTA, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Scientific-Atlanta (NYSE: SFA - news) today reported all-time record bookings and revenues for its fiscal fourth quarter
ended July 2, 1999. Increased revenues were driven by shipments of the company's transmission networks products and Explorer® 2000 interactive digital set-tops.

Bookings of $388.7 million in the fiscal fourth quarter represented an increase of 22% over the previous year's fourth quarter.

Subscribers! Stock #2 Earnings plays for August 16 reported today after the close. Earnings looked very good. First Call premium service had the date for Monday. Its first Call's premiere job to report the accurate dates and we're sure they do the best they can, but there are companies that pre-report or don't inform First Call when there is a change.
