The service requires users to use a personalized MyAltaVista page as their permanent home page.* *A small window displaying ads will be run while the user is online. This is the kind of desperate measure you expect as the industry shakes itself out. Not only is Alta Vista floundering, but CPQ has not been exactly impressing the street lately.
