I am sorry to tell you this, Mr Maouse, but you are certainly very NAIVE! Once again I was kidding you and you knew it not and you swallowed everything hook, line and sinker!!! VBG! Simply because you don't appreciate/understand astrology, it does not necessarily mean it is silly or that it would be stupid to dabble in it. Note that I don't even slam you for saying negative things about astrology. A time was when many western doctors pooh-poohed acupuncture because they did not understand it. To them, it looked so silly and stupid and even smacked of superstition. They criticised the Chinese concept of Chi which to the Chinese is a vital invisible energy that flows through "energy meridians" in the human body. Yet acupuncture has been working and continues to work 'miracles' for lots of people! Today it is widely accepted and practised by lots of western practioners. No more naysayers, period! Although western medicine has an alternative explanation for the way acupuncture works, yet the Chinese concept of Chi flowing in energy meridians is considered a rational one. (It is consistent with their concept of vital energy centers and of the need to clear blockages for free flow of the Chi to maintain harmony in th human body.) Likewise, astrology is being slammed these days by people who only think they know the subject when in fact they don't know enough or are utterly biased and ignorant of it. Needless to say, the Church has done much during the past 400 years to discredit astrology. Also, it was unfortunate that some charlatans gave astrology a black eye. However, don't forget that though the Church considers itself to be infallible, lotsa' folks know better today. Some people slam astrology simply because to them it is fashionable or "chic" to appear to be "mainstream" (or modern or enlightened) folks. As with so many things going in cycles, it is not inconceivable astrology will gain acceptance later on. Silly as it may seem, I believe astrology makes sense only to those who have become evolved enough to understand and appreciate it! As SBerglowe has said, "...I believe it is a way to higher knowledge." To be sure, we are all evolving at our respective evolutionary levels. So, for not a few people, astrology is a study and pursuit that is worthwhile and useful. Like music, like art or like chess, it has the power to make them happy. Simply because you don't understand a language or have no head for it or you simply don't care, it does not necessarily mean it is silly or undeserving of attention. So don't waste too much time worrying how the astrology buffs make out or exhorting them to drop it. If they stand to lose big by your reckoning, let them be. To be sure, your wallet will not lose a penny! Astrologers have made their bed, so let them lie in it! Meanwhile, be smiling from ear to ear and consider yourself to be so very blessed many times over!!! Where else in the world can you get such free and unsurpassed "entertainment" than here at SI? To be sure, you certainly have such fine taste to be with such fine company!
