McJimbo - Re: "Really doesn't matter because if the Coppermine hits 667MHz before the end of the year it's too late to be in Christams boxes "

October shipments of the Coppermine will put them into quite a few Christmas boxes - and probably beat the AthJOHNs for that matter, which seem to have become "September's Children".

Re: "and besides that, AMD will just jack the Athlon to 700MHz or ever 750MHz on .25u. The Athlon on .25u will outrun the Coppermine on .18u. "

AMD can do all they want - but some day they will have to ship these great chips.

However, since they seem destined only for "mail order" status, not many people will be seeing these in stores any where.

Out of sight - out of mind.

Paul

You may be in for a big surprise Jim, IMHO.
