RE>>"out of context" <<

You are dealing with hypotheticals as to what I would have done

I was dealing with the situation as it "actually is" for Steelguy's parents...

They bought it at 16 bucks and are still holding.. He asked for trading advice as far as what I think they should do...

I have no info on the company "fundamentally" Never heard of it before JesterdaY ... I am just dealing with the chart and the way I see it from that and the FACT that they had a major news release and a very nice run !!

As to what I personally would have done. I may have bought it at 16Bucks and sold the first time it dipped :-} Who Nose !

OUT OF CONTEXT ?? Likely since I have never even owned the stock but hey it is after all only my opinion because my crystal ball is at the cleaners... The glass was getting a bit foggy.

*** OT ***
My aplogies to this fine thread on the OT discussion of QLT yesterday and the day before but I wanted help and got it from many of you. Brian, Maintenance, .trev....thanks guys...all of your input is appreciated.

To clarify Trev.....my parents bought at $30.00 and held it as it went to $16.00. ( just to clarify info I had stated earlier ).
Had a good discussion with them yesterday and found that a third of the position had indeed been moved out a month ago as I had suggested at $70+......225 shares were remaining.
They are in on stop @ $99.70 with a limit of $97.00. I will have them raise the stop to trail on more strenght if it happens to turn out that way.
Getting them to pull the trigger is always so hard as I guess it is for us all at times....your info helped.

Interesting note: they deal with a large reputable house for their Canadian assets / Merril Lynch for US....( they live in Colorado ).......I have been telling them about stops with limits forever and finally got them to do it. When they called the Canadian broker, he said " hmmmm risky thing to do...I don't advise a stop order ....yadda,yadda...won't get sold out..yadda yadda....... dad says: I am putting a limit on it, my son has explained it to me and this is what I want. The broker then tries to do it. He does not know how to...asks other's in the office.....they don't know how to....he says to dad...." I am uncomfortable with this type of order and decline to act on your request. "......duh....
Dad pushes......FINALLY, broker calls back....stop is in...he called the trading office and they say: Oh sure...we do this ALL THE TIME FOR CLIENTS. .......I find it amazing how much poor service and advice there is out there at times.
all is well then and thanks again guys.
