Jay, again we see IDT having to continue accepting any losses from
NTOP.They own 58% of the shares outstanding and thus will book that rate of gains or losses on their own operating statement and eventually the loss goes into retained earnings. I haven't seen anything or anyone statement stating NTOP will show a profit this or next year. That is the down side of retaining a controlling interest.
Also the downside of holding IDT.
The other side may say this structure offsets 42% of NTOP losses which is true. I could accept that if NTOP spinoff added any implied value to IDT. They market has spoken and so far the answer is no.
