This in no way indicates that ALL of the eclipses have caused the effects mentioned. In fact that eclipses have happened and NOT had the same consequences indicates just the opposite.

Eclipses aren't some switch at the NYSE that lights up a big neon sign saying sell. We're talking about small, subtle effects on human behavior. These animal instincts are overcome by our intellect most of the time. However, during times of weakness, they become more prominent. A good analogy would be the mob mentality. Many people do things they wouldn't normally dream of, just because the mob has undermined their intellect and their animalistic side has taken over. When the market is in a strong selloff, most shareholders begin to lose their cool. This is the time for panic. To answer your question, most eclipses do have an effect on the markets, some more than others. They tend to mark reversals.

If you have do any trading in any market, than it affected you. If you are not a trader, than you look pretty silly spending time on SI.
