>>it has been reported that Warren Beatty is thinking of running for President in 2000 election <<

Only if he acts like Bullworth <g>

I also just read on the futures thread that GLOBEX will cease trading at 3:20. Forgot to copy the link so this may be the close coming up right here for the big boys. Then it will just be the little fish fighting it out.

Well, that figures, I take a day off that is due to me and power goes out in Chicago.

Some random thoughts - Rumors of AG resigning/not being re-appointed just before a report that Clinton has a meeting with Summers and other big financial planners. These rumors are discounted as false for the most part but ...

Could it be that AG wants to stop inflation before it gets out of hand but Clinton/Gore want to preserve their 30% a year market rises no matter if it is good or bad long term just as long as Gore can try to get elected?

The recent turn over in the Fed may be because they know they are being too liberal with easy money but the White house is putting too much pressure on them to flood the market with easy money. We could be having a battle over the future finances of this country right now behind closed doors. I know in the military, if you don't agree with policy, you can not scream out in public. You just resign or ask for a transfer. When a large number of people start asking for transfers from a unit, you do all you can to stay away from that unit.

Maybe just stupid thoughts but something just doesn't seem right about all these rumors and Fed members stepping down.

Onthe opposite extreme, do we really need to raise rates? I have been seeing a lot of slowing in tech revenue due to Y2K concerns. If companies start really locking down in preparation for this event, that could slow growth enough to slow the economy by itself. Justa few tidbits to stir discussion after the market close.

I can't believe this power outage. This bounce would have made another nice scalp trade. Dohhhh!

Good Luck,

Lee
