Ahhaha, it's hard to understand your message, but I take a shot.

You are implying that reducing the price will lead to a crappy network. Do you mean to say that Cable network will eventually stand out from the rubble? and will eventually get rewarded by the market? What new direction you are talking about?

I have changed my mind on the subs price issue.
The great Ah can admit a change of opinion.

My esteem for you has gone up a notch. More for the willingness to admit that you might have been wrong than the fact that I agree with you.

Time to get away from cut rate shabby product
#1 on that list is maintaining reliability. You can cut the cost all you want but if people have to have a dial-up ISP as a backup you are doomed to fail.

On that topic: I still have not seen @home offer a dial-up add on option through Worldnet for say $5-$10/month. Why the heck not? Dont they get it that one major disadvantage is the inability of cable to travel?

it's worth more to me to have a good network than it is for me to make money in the stock

A quality product *is* the best way for @home to make money. Broadband has to be better than the rest or there isnt any point.
Eric

Now you are coming around to my way of thinking. We can lower price later if needed, don't do it now, look after quality of service.

I am happy to see you can change at least one of your opinions, there may be hope for an 84 year old boy after all. <:}
