I know Harwinton well. The house I visit yearly (and spent 12 years living in) is in Burlington, the next town over going east. I hope your in-laws have more patience than I did. Our house was built in 1830 and I spent much time and energy trying to restore things. It doesn't end! Perhaps your in-laws have seen my house. Its on Route 4 in the center of Burlington on the right if you're heading toward Hartford. If they look right just as they pass the town green they'll see a brick house with columns out front sitting on a small hill. I spent 12 years there and may live there again someday. I have many fond memories of that town.
