INSTANT VIEW/U.S. stocks seen helped by tame PPI
NEW YORK, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Wall Street stocks were expected to open higher
after the July Producer Price index rose by a lower-than-expected 0.2 percent. The
co-called ''core' PPI, which excludes food and energy prices, was unchanged.

Economists polled by Reuters expected July producer prices to rise 0.3 percent overall
and 0.1 percent at the core level.

Following are analysts' comments regarding the report: ARTHUR HOGAN, CHIEF
MARKET ANALYST AT JEFFERIES & CO., BOSTON:

''There is no inflation. The Fed won't be doing more than a 25-basis-point rate hike and
that's it for the year. This market is going to 12,000 ... by the end of the year.'
