Is this about what you are expecting to be announced at the Intel developer's forum? dan, and i thought, reading your post before this one, you were getting to be a bit mellow. LOL actually i keep it much simpler than you. i have to. i am nearly computer illiterate. oh, obviously i can use the software. i just don't know if it has a carburator or fuel injection. in that regard, i think i represent 99% of america. maybe more. hold that thought for a moment. filling the blanks of your chart will perhaps provide meaningful data to some. not to me, i won't understand it. how does someone like me make a reasonable decision regarding what i need inside my pc? i look to the top flight companies to tell me what i need and why. i did the same for my tv and car purchases. i happen to know that there are over 100 major technology companies, the creme de la creme, working on rambus products. here is a list of most of them.rambus.com i have to believe they know something you and i don't. remember when grandma said drink your milk?...she knew! you have convinced me that you are a very smart guy when it comes to computers. i really believe that. but think, those companies on that list use thousands and thousands of phd's. there is no way one individual can have all of that knowledge. collectively these guys are bringing us rambus. ask yourself, what do they know? how do you expect to convince me, and the 99% of the population that i represent, that all of these top technology companies are making a mistake? they have spent $ billions yes, no exaggeration, $ billions developing products using rambus technology. surely you do not really think that was all for nothing. that all they had to do is stay with sdram. the only major computer maker that has indicated they will not use rambus right away is cpq. even they indicated they may change in a year. think about that...cpq has a history of making devastating decisions. their business model is in chaos and failing miserably. on the other hand dell, ibm, toshiba, sony , gateway, nintendo, et al, are going with rambus. whose judgement will you trust with your money? unclewest
