The usual suspects- market makers, large institutional holders.

Market makers have incredible power on the Nasdaq, really. Why do you think there hasn't been a single internut IPO on the NYSE? I personally know high level execs at two internut companies here in the valley who converse, and socialize with the market makers for their stocks. The whole situation is so incestuous I can't begin to describe it. Eventually, when the bottom falls out, this sort of thing will stop -when the fed steps in- but for now it is the norm.
