Marketbrief.com:

My man R.D. Wyckoff. I took the course in 1981. It taught
me a lot.

I have the 1924 edition of "Studies in tape reading".
In his 1933 edition of "How I trade and invest in stock and
bonds", he advocates 2 or 3 years of paper practice not months. Mr Wyckoff studied 6 years before he actually started trading.

Practicing for 2 to 6 years,(every trading day), before actually trading does something marvelous. It literally wears away your emotions, builds discipline and gives you great confidence in your understanding of the markets.

In other words it becomes "JUST A JOB". IMHO, I believe that's the key to becoming a successful trader. Think about it! When you had to go to work every day for years you became very good at what you did. You knew the job inside and out and when things went wrong you worked around the obstacles and made it work. You may have liked your work but there weren't any emotions getting in the way. Nope!
It's "JUST A JOB".

So, until your trading becomes "JUST A JOB", buckle up your safety belt because you're going to always be on that emotional roller coaster.

Well, back to work, (ho-hum).
