Jay:
I have said that I think QWST getting the USW customers is a must. I have mentioned the 'Last Mile' problem of QWST. USW will help here. However, I have seen 14 million customers and 25 million from USW> I don't know. The DSL from US Worst as they like to say, i a plus that US Best may not have.

These guys know what they are doing and how they will use the customers. My biggest concern was QWST building this super highway with no exit ramps.....Last Mile......to the people.

I'd like to see the deal closed sooner than later. DT is looking. BLS has a bit now. Why did BLS invest in QWST ?? Offensive maneuver ?? Or defensive. I think the latter. That's fine. That means that BLS KNOWS that what QWST has is going to play in the telecom shakeout.

What poker games are going on. Problem is, that we as investors, are funding the bets. Wow !!

Jay, I thought that it was a buy in the low 30's but became concerned that people selling knew much more about potential problems than I and were fleeing. If US West management can get with the program, this seems cheap.. What is your opinion on the probability of that happening?

Thanks,

Brian
