Most estimates for the core are either flat or up one tenth of one percent with the 'headline' number (including energy) up three tenths. A core up 1 or 2 tenths would be a small problem -- bond yield at 6.3 or a little higher. A core up 3 tenths or more and we have a real problem. Similarly, a total increase of say 4 tenths or 5 tenths and we have a problem. A problem is very possible.

You are kidding yourself if you think the nets can survive a move over 6.35%.

Just take a look at the weekly charts for AMZN and YHOO. Can they get any uglier?
