Taxman.Eye opening post. IMO if MSFT wants to challenge AOL in the ISP market free service is the least they need to do. At this point AOL has such a lead,17 mill. plus subs., brand name etc. that MSFT will need to pay people to switch away from AOL.

Aol increased membership by over 750,000 just in the last quarter alone that's 1/2 of MSFT's total members. I had no idea MSFT was losing members.
I don't sell or worry about MSFT. It's a long term hold in shares and LEAPS for me,but as a ISP big boy I don't see it. That boat left the harbor years ago.

FWIW, I have been with MSN for my ISP since getting on the internet in 1996 and get excellent service.
