David: Paul Allen has never been shy when it comes to spending money <G>....He clearly likes to enjoy life. For what he might spend on another private jet, another custom built yacht, or an additional overseas villa...he could DRAMATICALLY increase his position in NETP !!....I realize that he is pre-occupied with other interests most of the time. He has outstourced investment decisions to Bill Savoy (the President of Vulcan Ventures). Yet, Paul Allen has increased his position in several of his investments (like GNET). Who knows he may surprise us and buy a few more shares of NETP some day <VBG>.

I still feel that all things being equal, he is a good investor to have on board. Paul Allen has interests in many other firms that can leverage NETP's revolutionary personalization software.

Best Regards,

Scott

BTW: You are right that Paul is living 'the good life'...check out these quotes from that link you posted <G>...

<<He has made a tradition of holding one large party every year. Last year, he charted the world's most exclusive cruise ship, the Crystal Harmony, and flew 400 guests to join him for four days in Alaska at an estimated cost of £6.25 million. The previous year he hosted a masked ball for 300 people in Venice. His guests included the film directors Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas and James Cameron and the actors Dan Ackroyd, Robin Williams and Candice Bergen, as well as Bill Gates.

Mr Allen, who travels by private Boeing 757 jet, lives on the Sperry Peninsula in Puget Sound outside Seattle, the home of Microsoft. He also own homes on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue and in Holland Park, London. He recently bought a villa in Cap Ferrat in the South of France where neighbours include Lord Lloyd-Webber and Vivien Duffield.>>

Did that come from Seventeen? or Tiger Beat? Has anyone read it closely. It's targetting raging hormone teenagers. I don't think Wall St moves in beat with the cumings or goings of the cool psychodelic or "groovy new film studio-cum-hotel-cum-restaurant for rich film stars..." Give us a break.
