Those "super iron" batteries even made our local 6:00pm news today........but it will be a long time, they said.

I would think the 50% increase in capacity is as compared to other primary batteries, not with rechargeables, so a direct comparison with Valence batteries may not be valid.
For one thing, being canister primaries I would think their energy density/weight ratio would be much worse.
