I guess my definition is that just like in sports, your opponent gives you an indication that he's going one way and then goes the opposite after you've committed to follow that first move. He sucks you in, and once you've comitted. badda bing, he reverses and your your left picking up your jock strap off the floor. I tend to be short term, but I think most would consider head fakes are intraday. A full day rally might just be a dead cat bounce.
