I need clarification. Did you post that because you thought I was objecting to the teaching of evolution? I thought I made perfectly clear to E that I did NOT approve of the Kansas decision or of the teaching of Creation "science" as fact (the term Creation shouldn't, imo, be included in the quotes because there is nothing wrong with that term, only with pairing it with science). What I posted was:
As for my beliefs about evolution, your first understanding was correct. I do not
advocate the teaching of creation "science." However, I also think that there are many
questions about and holes in the theory of evolution, and it should not be taught as
established and proven science, but as a theory which at this point is the theory which
best fits the limited facts we have about the origin of the human species, but which may
well be proved in error as more facts are developed.

Do you disagree with this? Do you think evolution should be taught as though it were established as fact with the same certainty as, for example, that the moon orbits the earth or the theory of plate tectonics? If so, I am glad to discuss that. If not, I'm not sure what (if anything) you were concerned about, since I certainly did NOT advocate, as you seem to suggest, that "we should not teach it" and openly agreed that it "is the best currently available explanation for observed phenomena."

So do you see any difference in what I posted and what you posted, and if so, what?
