Reagan was not ignorant where it counted: The Soviet Empire. Neither was he overly trusting.

Furthermore, unlike many presidents, he did not make the error of micro-managing every issue that came to the Oval Office. He was a good listener and an excellent decision-maker. He delegated authority as a good CEO does at a well-run corporation. And he did not surround himself with "yes" men and women.

For this he has taken criticism.
