Charles, re:Pricewatch quotes PIII-450 at $200 (down $3 in a day; 500s and 550s are down well over $10 in the last 24 hours). Guess whatever you want to guess about OEM prices but there is not much chance that Intel is getting more than $170 for this high (if not the highest) volume PIII. PIII is getting squeezed between K6-3 and Athlon if haven't noticed! Don't worry. XEON is more than making up for any lost profit margin!! XEON is finally ramping-up and will "hit" Intel's bottom-line nicely. Time to write more covered calls on AMD. With reported LOSSES lasting to AT LEAST Apr 2000, looks like the closest thing to a sure bet to me. joey
