That link was to a page that contained "TEKs," which seem to be a list of resources for high schools that provide "Health Science Technology Education, Scientific." (TEKs stands for Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.) I do want to point out that this is not presented as material to be used in a general high school biology course, but is, specifically, material to be used in technical schools. The state would find it awkward giving out high school diplomas to their technical school grads in "Health Science Technology Education, Scientific" without mentioning evolution to them prior to the ceremony. The two appearances of the word 'evolution' in the URLs provided as a resource are worded as follows:The Nature of Science and Biology - Michael Farabee, Estrella Mountain Community College: examines the development of the theories contributing to modern biology, the theory of evolution, and the use of the scientific method. What the above says about evolution is that the course examines the theory of it. (My assumption is that it 'examines' it with respect, since the professor is a scientist; but the wording is somewhat careful, perhaps.) The second mention isthis course provides information on microbial evolution I believe even creationists don't deny that there is plenty of providable information on microbial evolution. Thomas, I am certainly not making the point that no standard high school course in biology "teaches the theory of evolution"; I don't have information on that. But it is the case that the two links I've looked at that you've provided were this one to the technical school, which I've characterized above, and another one to a school I asked you to identify, as it seemed a quite unusual American public school, and, although you failed to answer my query, Lather figured out that it was a school in Japan. As I said, I have no information on this subject-- only impressions. And the impression your links are giving me is probably contrary to the one you expect them to give.
