eConnect Joins with E-SAFE to Form Strategic Alliance

ETTA to Implement Same-as-Cash(TM) Internet Service in 100,000 Australian, New
Zealand, Hong Kong and United Kingdom Homes in Time

for the 2000 Summer Olympics.

eConnect, (OTC BB:ECNC), fully reporting, has announced the strategic alliance between
eConnect, E-SAFE, and ET&T to enable 100,000 Australian, Hong Kong and British homes
to effect Internet Same-as-Cash sports wagers on the 2000 Summer Olympics.

The alliance is to be called ETTA (Electronic Transactions Technologies Australasia).

E-SAFE Pty. Ltd is being led by Iain Gray, the Director of Sydney Fund Managers
Limited. E-SAFE is seeking to raise $10,000,000 in a public offering. eConnect is
seeking to raise $10,000,000 in a private offering of eConnect Registered SB2 stock.

Same-as-Cash employs inexpensive home hardware to move Internet sports wagers by
ATM card and PIN. eSportsbet.com, an eConnect business unit, will initially receive the
sports transactions while E-SAFE is applying for an Australian Internet sports gaming
license, eSportsbet.org. Thereafter, eSportsbet.com and eSportsbet.org will partner in
the development of global Same-as-Cash sports wagers.

ET&T will process the incoming Same-as-Cash transactions. eConnect and E-SAFE will
market the services in Australia, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and other countries
under the service name of ETTA.

ETTA is targeting 10 countries for Same-as-Cash gaming transactions by October 2000.
Additionally, ETTA will market such eConnect services as EzyPay(TM), EzyShop(TM),

ETTA will also fast track develop the wireless PocketPay(TM) which is both a pocket
sized terminal and a voice phone that can effect Same-as-Cash transactions and the

The company's idea is to review web sites based on thirty-five different

The marketing emphasis of BrowseSafe is to make available all of the good
things available on the World Wide Web. Each site will be personally
reviewed by staff members to insure safety for all customers who use the
product. Users can be restricted from chat rooms, news groups and/or
specifically adult oriented sites, pornographic or semi-pornographic sites,
sites that use explicit and off-color language, gambling sites, and occult,
firearms, tobacco or alcohol related sites. Once
on-line, the users are presented with three specific methods for web
browsing- each incorporates specific browsing opportunities depending on
the general age of the user. These are pre-set (but adjustable by the
master user) and are as follows:

BrowseSafe comes pre-configured for various maturity levels, grouped into
three basic modules: PlanetWow for kids, PlanetCool for teens, and
PlanetHome for parents and administrators. Each module
is able to access levels of web content traditionally considered acceptable
for members of that age group. A fourth module, PlanetBiz, is being
developed for businesses. This also will offer three modes
of browsing for businesses and will offer an unlimited number of employees
access to safe browsing. The business owner would allow employees access to
the predetermined levels of browsing depending on
their position and need for access to the varying sites on the web.
Restricting employee access to controversial Internet material is an
unfortunate necessity in our litigious society.

All of the above mentioned versions of BrowseSafe, while pre-set by the
company, are fully adjustable and can easily be configured to access
whatever content the master user (parent or system administrator) deems
appropriate. Furthermore, all settings are password protected and can't be
hacked by ambitious kids or employees.

BrowseSafe Technology

BrowseSafe has developed and tested the only unique and worry-free
successful Internet security program available today. It has strategically
positioned its technology for resale through ISP's who have already
cornered the Internet subscriber market and with educational institutions

The custom browser utilizes a server to control the sites that the user can
visit. The browser is “hard wired” to proxy directly to BrowseSafe servers
that maintain a list of PlanetGood browsing sites. Before a URL can load,
the custom browser must directly link to or proxy to the server control to
be screened before browsing any domain name. The server solution provides a
transparent way for the user to have the most up-to-date possibilities for
browsing domain sites—no files of updated sites
would have to be downloaded to the user's machine.

If a user encounters a site that has not yet been reviewed by BrowseSafe (a
difficult task, considering the reach of the company) the user is
immediately prompted to submit it for review for content and be added to
the BrowseSafe database. BrowseSafe typically responds to these requests
within one day.

The default browser homepage, PlanetGood.net, includes a search mechanism,
“Safe Search”, similar to “Yahoo” for all users to access information
quickly. Of course, this will contain only site information for safe
PlanetGood browsing and will automatically function only to the degree
relating to the browser module in use.

Competition

There are currently several companies marketing Internet browsing filters.
Among the most recognizable are Cyberpatrol, Surfwatch, CyberSitter and
NetNanny. The majority of these solutions are based around context
sensitive pattern matching, which is also referred to as “semantic logic”.
Surfwatch, for instance, works by identifying objectionable phrases and
word patterns within an Internet site and blocking access to that site.
Sometimes, as pointed out in the May 10, 1999 edition of Time magazine,
perfectly safe sites are blocked and objectionable material can leak
through. The article said that “…many other filtering systems…dumbly
(apply) a list of forbidden words against the content of any
site.” and went on to say that this method works like “a blunt instrument”.

through with other filters and point to a
study by Consumer Reports which found that from 22 objectionable sites
tested using leading filters at least four and as many as 22 sites were

reasonably adept grade-school kid can disable any

The current trend of both PC and Internet usage in the home is on the rise.
Currently about 43% of American homes own a personal computer, of which 80%
have a modem—28 million of these are connected to
the internet. It is also predicted that the price of PC's will decline
downward to $500-$700 by early 1999 in an effort to increase the PC market
penetration in homes to 70-80%. For the first time in history, the consumer
and the home market will overtake the business market in the total number
