Brother Dowd, As long as the government keeps using those bogus numbers the market can go up, as long as it believes! I shop constantly...plenty of inflationary pressures out there. Government isn't and hasn't been measuring them properly. Personally I think that Y2k will slow down some parts of the economy and enhance others. Perhaps a slowdown going into the EOY will counter inflationary pressures and AG won't have to hike. Jim Jim
