Jim,
I think it's just supply and demand. WDN Preferred "S" goes ex-dividend on 8/17 with more than a 12% yield. I imagine 19 will be the low and with almost .60 dividend, it would have to drop to 18-3/8 before one would be in the red. WDN dropped to 18 this week and immediately rebounded to 20. If they merge at a higher price (i.e. 22-25), I imagine that the preferred 'S' would trade close to par.
Richard

p.s. The REIT downtrend will be broken will a close above 301 today. With any amount of fortune, a new one won't start again.

p.p.s. Did you notice the earnings on KIDE from .02 diluted to .31 ? It will accelerate some more if my kids friends are any indication of the Pokemon fad. I just need to know when the fad is over.
