Teflon: For what it is worth, (not much), the feel of the market seems to be that either the .25 rate rise is now "built in" or won't happen.

I thought the last rise would not happen by the way, so that proves how wrong I can be. I was looking at the economic basis for it - there wasn't any then and isn't any now and forgot that Alan G. was taking many "factors" into account - such a potential tax cut, etc.

So again, like you, I think there should be no further rise, but unlike you, I expect one more this year. Will probably be wrong again.

But Uncle Frank is right, for the long term this is splitting hairs.

On your main point, I do think some nibbling might be practical to buy now to hold for the long run. I did pick up what Frank would call a "shiny pebble" Phone.com recently. The wireless/internet nexus led me to it. And like wow. Not sorry. Cha2
