Sun's doing well!! You may get your wish about the short squeeze. Most analysts expected higher PPI!

I hope your headache is better!

Best wishes,

Mephisto

Charles,
Sep / Oct have been the most treacherous times for the market recently, and I don't expect this year to be different. The rally in the long bond was overdue, and IMO would have occured even if the PPI numbers were not as rosy. To me the bottomline is that the 30 year bond is still well over 6% (and that is a danger sign for the market, any way you look at it). Energy prices have started going up again and will translate into higher PPI over the next two months. The sentiment changes on Wall Street occur on an hourly basis, and analysts are indulging in wishful thinking that the Fed may not tighten at all. Until short term rates come up by about 50 bps, long term Treasury's will not come down below 6%. The Fed should just bite the bullet and go for a 50 bps move and eliminate uncertainty about rates from the market - having seen Greenspan operate I doubt that will happen.

Regards

Alok

Sold 75 and 80 covered calls on some of my SUN (and INTC) positions today. Will be buying puts if NASD continues its rise. SUN seems to be doing all the right things, so this is one stock that I feel most confident about.
