G.Moore: Yep, that news was out when I was in Finland. It has been buzzing around for a while, but the few large owners of the stock have in the past never really entertained it. However, the mood seems to have changed over the last 3 to 6 months. It may well be a deliberate leak to whip people in shape a tad quicker, that's my genreal feeling.

The rumour mill also mentioned getting rid of the handset division, however would there be a buyer?

ERICSSON: RAMQVIST LAUNCHES ORGANIZATIONAL REORGANIZATION-DI
(Nyhetsbyr†n Direkt) - STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Ericsson will reorganize its only one-year old organization in an attempt to reverse a negative cash flow and CEO Lars Ramqvist said that several functions, including personnel functions, have to be centralized, according to an article in Dagens Industri Thursday.

The article said the organization that will now be dismantled led to a chaotic internal climate. The number of internal reports exploded from 1,000-1,500 to about 6,000 every month and Ramqvist said it became too much information at once. The cash flow turned negative at a fast rate and inventories surged.
