Jacktoad, re:<<...well, i'm home after a month in the outback. i have changed...but DELL has not...>> here's the problem with Dell's stock:

Dell's Trailing PE: 74.1
Computer Industry's Trailing PE: 39.6
Tech Industry's Trailing PE: 43.3

For 1999, the PE's are:

Dell: 58.7
Industry: 37.6
Tech Sect: 40.0

For 2000, the PE's are:

Dell: 43.1
Industry: 28.8
Tech Sect: 32.5

The high PE's coupled with the company's slowing revenue growth rates, falling computer prices, and margins under pressure have caused the stock's price to trade in a range since Feb.

Not a easy situation to remedy. IMO, Michael Dell needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

<<i think the stock's been waiting for me to start shooting up>>

You know...this sentence can be taken more than one way, especially since you said you just returned from a TRIP ;-)
