Tero: Agree with your comments, hence why I originally stated this;
"It may well be a deliberate leak to whip people in shape a tad quicker, that's my genreal feeling". (OT: Typo on original - general, but maybe gen'real will become a new buzz word).

I hear other phones may be launched before years end anyway that should further increase the division's competitiveness. Has anyone got sales figures for the T18?

Tero! I agree with you that Ericsson will not sell it's
mobile division.The only reason they would sell it was if they had no hope to turn it around.One reason is that when signing orders for new technologies ,like 3G and GPRS, the operators often demand that you can deliver mobiles with the equipment.They have learned a lot since the start of GSM when they got the equipment for GSM a year before they had any mobiles to sell.Another reason not to sell is that when developing cutting edge mobiles with the latest standards implemented it's a big advantage to have both mobiles and the infrastructure.You can have a big knowledge transfer between the developmentcenters(It's the same protocols that should be implemented on both sides) and there are also a big advantage if you can get testmobiles for the testing of the infrastructureside and the other way around.When the so called experts say that Ericsson can sell the mobilebusiness I wonder why the biggest GSM manufacturers on both the infrastructureside and the mobile are the same companies.Ericsson was a very small player on the mobileside before GSM.
Another sellcandidate according to the paapers and the experts is the wirelinebusiness.This make even less sense to sell.The platform for both the wirelineswitches and the mobile switches is the same.It's both AXE.It's exactly the same hardware and there are very big synergies also on the softwareside.Big parts of the software is the same and other parts is just adapted from the wireline to the wirelessside.It means that if they sell the wireline business the developmentcost will skyrock for the wireless business.They would also of course loose the competence of the people that would go.Other platforms that is used on the wireless side but developed on the wirelineside is the
O&M system(OSS in GSM) and the ATM-switch AXD301.Or do the the experts think that anyone would buy the wirelinebusiness without the development centers.

By the way.I tried the T28 today.It will be a big hit!
It feels very very light in your hand and the menysystem is nice.Small icons is used instead of text.It comes in 4 colours.
