"Who knows? I currently hold small positions in a few blue-chip miners as a play on
seasonal weakness and a possible Y2K scare; I'm planning to hold these for 3-6"

I'm thinking the same way and recently took a small position in a gold mining company for the same reasons-Richmont Mines (RIC)...seasonal weakness + beaten down prices + Y2K scare add up to a reasonable investment for speculative money...Shop At Home (SATH) was on the air a couple of days ago selling 1oz Eagles for 399.99 and hyping the Y2K scare in the process...come later this year the press will be all over the Y2K doomsday scenarios...I just hope the price of champagne doesn't skyrocket later this year, maybe I'd better stock up now...

It should be fun
Chris

Lane,

Would one have to look all that hard to find the conspiracy in recent gold pricing?
