I think the timing is right. Camino or a derivative, will have to support PC133. From my perspective, Intel cannot compete on PC100 and Rambus alone. That would NOT be a prudent thing to do for such an enormous and paranoid company. PC133 is happening now - via VIA - and I just think it is too risky to bank on 2H 99 with Rambus (and PC100).

bp, It is interesting to step back and look at this. IMO their does seem to be a sea change here. It is going to be interesting. I don't think AMD could afford to stiff RDAM if they "knew" INTC was going full board with it and that yields were acceptable. They see weakness and have decided they do not need RDAM to compete "right now". What does this mean? (the longs rose colored longs will never get this,I don't think). RMBS stock price has already discounted a steep hockey stick rev ramp. It has discounted the earnings and the industry support. Actually, it has discounted a steep FY '00 ramp, which is not going to happen now, estimates have come down since 6-12 months ago-- it's not happening as fast as planned. Thus the stock price will be under pressure IMO. I will ask again, how much time should one give RMBS to perform? Not just perform, but to earn $12.00 per share? MileHigh PS- Capt, I am not short but yes I am flat but giving my rational, that's all. There is not a conspiracy theory behind every post! <gg>
