I suspect that McCamant was taken somewhat out of context, though I don't think he was just referring to toxics.

I hope that all of us are in this to make money, and the real issue is what we're willing to do to make money. Thus Biotech vs. Shorts: If there is an honest opportunity to make money selling a biotech short (because of hype, etc.) then is that wrong? For me the issue are those who try to manipulate the stock to help their short position, often through disinformation or yelling the loudest.
