If you got a bunch of people in a room a few years after the creation of federalism and gave them the task of systematically undermining and eventually gutting the whole purpose of the Revolution and the Declaration of Independence, I don't think they could do any better than the mess we have gotten from our "revered" politicians the last 150 years...

This country has changed considerably from it's inception and now is
much different than our founding fathers intended.


That is true. Whether it is a good or bad thing is a wonderful subject for an after dinner conversation. I still believe in the basic principles of our founding. But I also have to admit that when you have more than twice as many people living in one city (New York, pop around 8 million) that lived in the entire nation when the country was founded (1790 census showed 3.9 million total population for the entire country), when you probably have more GDP generated in a single county in Iowa than was generated in the entire nation on 1775, etc., then things have to change, including some basic principles and assumptions of society and government.
