He is desperate. Wide spread is usually not good.

Peter,

It's all part of the "big lie".

Low interest rates are good because everyone can borrow more cheaply.

High interest rates are good because fixed income investors can get more income from their investments.

Large spreads are good because that means there's even more borrowing to invest.

Low spreads are good because that means investors perceive few risks in the economy.

Asia exploding is good because capital will come here.

Asia recovering is good because exports to the region will improve.

Big bath accounting is good because future earnings will be better. (padded)

Stock option compensation is good because it's not expensed and Wall St can ignore it.

A strong dollar is good because it will keep inflation in check.

A weak dollar is good because our exports will improve.

A growing current account deficit is good because it's a sign of the strength of our economy.

A shrinking current account deficit is good because it means foreigners are buying our goods.

Low oil prices are good because it acts like a tax cut.

Higher oil prices are good because energy profits will be higher.

Are you seeing the pattern here? (g)

Wayne
