I don't mind a gamble here and there if there is enough time to keep my eyes on it :) The August play may be a bit too risky for me right now but....I'm tempted. The Sep 22 1/2 (NKQ IX-A) look enticing to me...

I'm also thinking about options down the road so to speak. Like Nov 30's. There's enough time for some upside movement and this AOL deal shaking out into an upside for Novell back into the low 30's by the end of September which could translate into a good play for the Nov30's.

If Novell beats the whisper this quarter and projects a good solid Q4, I think the market could float Novell upwards towards 30 again. We've seen it go there without much fundamental support [only to head back south].

I think there are some strong indicators which could boost Novell and maintain them at that $30 level. The AOL deal and some digitalme partnerships announcements along with the slated update for NetWare 5 (I hear they are going with a "point release" meaning it will be NetWare 5.1 or something). I'm not sure if that will be a Q4 release or Q1 2000 (which is Nov after all).

All I'd be looking to do is either lock in a lower price to an accumulation for myself therefore I'd be looking at the Nov25's [NKQ KE-A] or looking to gain from an upside swing by early Oct by going for the NKQ KF-A (Nov 30 Call) and selling early.

PJ Strifas <--finally learning something technical about the market and not just NetWare :)
