From Neal Boortz- CLINTON AID? Yup --- they're actually considering a concert to help Clinton come up with some money for his legal bills. Seems that he's still about $4 million short. Clinton could use bedwetters like Barbra Streisand and Don Henley to raise millions. Clinton buddy David Geffen reportedly likes the idea of throwing a fund-raising concert. So far, no complaints from the left about this idea. Remember, though, when it was suggested that some people might help Newt Gingrich raise money to pay off his ethics fine. "No way." They said. "He has to pay that out of his own pocket." Double standard? Of COURSE it's a double standard. But don't look for anyone in the D.C. or New York press corps to point this out. Edit. I wish to add that Newt was later found not guilty.

Ultimately, they deal with "quality of life" and the point at which it is "worthwhile" to spend money on folk who are elderly, ill, etc., etc. Should resources grow scarce, no philosophy will protect the weakest amongst us.
