Irby, I couldn't agree more. They're assuming most traders are hyperactive, when in fact it has been my humble experience and observation over the years that the most knowledgable and seasoned traders are in fact position traders. Best of luck.

So true. I've been an active day trader and had high overhead (big commissions) and traded less frequently (position/swing trading) and been so much more profitable. Being selective in ones trades, with a decent system, proves you need not trade 10, 20, 30, ... times a day to pay the bills.
