Hi, Michael! I certainly did not mean to suggest that being an American is bad--although it may induce a certain complacency that can border on stupidity. I meant that the choice posted by TAS was naively simplistic (which does seem to be an unfortunate American trait). It is not a choice of letting people starve to death slowly or getting all the misery over in a flash. (BTW, who are we to make such a choice anyway?) The political situation in the Koreas is far more complex than his posting suggested and its potential ramifications far more reaching....
