Hello Frank. Just back from a long weekend. The economy looks pretty decent. Yes, that PPI was great and todays CPI was in line with expectations. The bond market seems to be pleased with it but the stock market is still digesting it. Now let's see what the FED does with this anemic data. Well, not quite anemic but nothing to get spooked by IMO.

The internets are pl. with todays data also. Most of them are up. Higher interest rates do not seem to agree with those cos. having to rely on credit. So low inflation and low interest rates gives them a shot in the arm.

Wow. HWP came in great. But somehow, somewhere, someone came in at the last moment with a whisper number of 87 cents. Give me a break.

Looking at my techs, including Intel, there is a bit of profit taking after last weeks gains. The market is going higher right now, so maybe those techs will still participate today.

Yes. Let's hope Dell comes in alright. 17+ is the magic number. If Dell does alright the techs will benefit. But who knows. There may be some more profit taking. You know. Buy on the anticipation and sell on the good news. AS LONG AS THE NEWS IS GOOD things will turn out alright.

We had rain over the weekend also. There were a cpl little limbs down in my yard but the rain was not enough yet. At least it's not quite as hot anymore.

Sonny

Hello Frank. Dell did it. Came in 19 cents instead of 17 cents with an increase in shipping of 55%. This should help the PC stocks tomorrow and should also move Intel. Dell's sales figures could mean a lot of Intc chips sold. Dell around 43 after hours. Let's hope it holds but def. better than HWP's initial reaction.

Amat came in at 61 instead of 53 expected. Should bode well for the equipment stocks even though Amat is down a bit in after market trades.

What a nice ending today was. All we need now is a good option expiry on Friday. Talk is there will be a bias to the buy side.

Intel eeked out a gain right at the end. Whew.

Sonny
